Internet lessons
Ausasia coaches also have the ability to offer you an analysis of your swing via the Internet. Just send us your swing via email and we will send you back a detailed analyisis of your swing with corrective drills. See below for more details
Online lesson
An
option for those who can't come and have a video analysis is to have
an on-line lesson. If you have a video camera all you need to do is
video your swing from the front and back, then email the swings to us and
using the same video analysis software we use during normal lessons we will send you back a 5 -10 min analysis of your swing with
voice comments, drills and model comparisons etc. Using the Internet we can give online lessons to people all over the world, so wherever
you are all you need to do is video your swing and send it to us. How
to “capture” and send a swing via email
Videos can be taken using a video
camera or a still camera with video function or even a Cell (mobile)
phone with video capabilities.
The back video (see right)
should be taken at waist height directly behind the student parallel
to their target line and directly down the line of the student’s
hands at address.
The Front (see right)
should be taken at waist height directly in front of the student
perpendicular to the student’s target line.
Where
possible footage should be taken with a shutter speed of at least
1000 frames per minute and an aperture that is appropriate for the
light conditions. However if your camera has no shutter speed
adjustment set it to sports mode or similar.
You may have video analysis software, but I recommended that video files are
captured using Windows Movie Maker or equivalent software. Movie
maker allows the student to choose the quality of the capture and
therefore the size of the file to be emailed. It is requested that
the quality of the video footage be captured at Video for broadband
(512kbps) at the very least.
If the footage is taken on a mobile (cell) phone, just use the default settings in the video camera and make sure the video footage for each swing is no longer than 5 seconds, otherwise the file size will be too large.
An online lesson will cost A$35 and I am sure you will find it a great learning experience.
Once
you have the 2 files saved send them to
craig@ausasiagolf.com and
I will organise the rest.
